What We Accomplished Together: A Year in Review at Cranston Cares

Dear Friends, Partners, and Neighbors,

As we close out another year, I find myself filled with deep gratitude and pride for what we have accomplished together at Cranston Cares.

This year reminded us of the incredible power of community, what can happen when compassion, generosity, and service come together with a shared purpose. Because of your support, time, and belief in our mission, we were able to make a meaningful impact on so many lives throughout Cranston.

Together, we raised thousands of back to school supplies, helping ensure local students started the school year feeling prepared, confident, and supported. We came together to serve our most impoverished neighbors through our Summer BBQ and Thanksgiving Dinner, offering not just meals, but dignity, connection, and hope.

One of the moments that touched us deeply was our ability to raise hundreds of turkeys for our veterans during Thanksgiving, honoring those who have given so much while also feeding families in need across our community. During the holiday season, with the help of our incredible small business community, we collected over 1,000 toys, bringing joy, smiles, and magic to children who might otherwise have gone without.

Beyond food and gifts, we also invested in the spaces that bring our community together — from painting our local ice rink to refreshing community benches, reminding us that care extends to the places we gather, play, and belong.

None of this would have been possible without our volunteers, donors, small businesses, partners, and neighbors who consistently show up with open hearts and helping hands. You are the reason Cranston Cares continues to thrive.
